De Vorm - Bole

The Bole is both a stool and side table in one, made out of expanded cork which has a minimal environmental impact.

Expanded Cork

Expanded cork is 100% natural and recyclable, it has good acoustic- and insulating properties and is lightweight. Cork is an eco-friendly solution in producing furniture. It is not necessary to cut down trees to produce cork.

The cork is stripped and will grow back on the tree. Every 9 years it is possible to strip the trees, which will live for approximately 100 years. 

In the expanding process the cork gains volume, therefore less cork is needed.
